The NICOR EFH4 is a Fire Rated 4 in. Recessed Housing designed for new construction applications. The housing is UL Classified for a 2-hour Fire Rating. The durable double wall steel construction incorporates a non-combustible fiber insulation layer to block flames and gasses from entering the ceiling above. The insulation layer also acts as sound proofing to reduce the noise level passed between floors. The EFH4 is designed for standard 4 in. recessed downlights and trims. It also features an Edison (E26/E27) base for a quick connection to most LED downlights. This makes installation as easy as possible. The EFH4 housing is Insulation Contact Rated (IC-Rated), Airtight, and Wet-Location Rated when used with a Wet-Location Rated downlight or trim. This makes it the perfect housing for showers and bathrooms. It also keeps your home or office insulated and energy efficient. The EFH4 also features extendable hangar bars and end brackets (with pre-set nails) that swivel 90° during installation. This allows them to be affixed 1 side at a time. The EFH4 is designed for 120-Volt applications and includes a 1-Year Limited Warranty.
